Default If I wanted too.....

If I wanted to build a mid 12, low 13 second 5.0L stang what would you suggest I do to get there.... like which parts should I change, should I bore, change the stroke? Supercharger it....
I'm just curious with people with a 12-13 second setup and what they have done to it. I'll be figuring I'll be buying a stock 5.0L if my parents make me sell my stang now and going from there. This probably won't happen tell next summer at the earliest if it happens at all but I am currious ahead of time. I would prefer to do it all motor aswell.
Aswell I want it to be a street car too... so I'd probably stick to 3.73's.

Thanks,
§am.

Just stick with the basics..if you want it all motor, any aftermarket heads, AFR is a good choice as well are others. Go with any aftermarket cam but try to stay within a .540 lift at maximum and around a 240 @.050 with around a 112 centerline. Of course go with a good intake such as Edelbrock, or any others. Throttle body, 65mm, mass air, good exhaust system, and such.

Maybe I'll put a 500 shot of Nitrious for one run... =) I'll probably pull of some amazing times and it'd pretty cool to have a motor that is just a block of solid metal. lol

It would probably do the opposite and turn into lots of tiny fragments, but you have the right idea.
Heads/cam/intake with boltons will get you a strong running 302. Or you could lazy out and do gears, slicks, and a 125 shot of laughing gas.

Yeh, I guess more when the time comes.... I don't know much about the 5.0L setups so I would have to do some research.
GT40 heads, Cobra Intake, bigger throttle body, exhaust, and probably a new cam, I would put 3.73's in it. I just don't know what hp range that would put me in, along with times. Either way my friend and I made a bet about 6 months ago that we are going to race when we're 25. He is becoming a Honda mechanic but he is a GM fan so I'm thinking he is going to be racing in a GM or maybe a M3 cause he wants to save his money for one those. But it's honestly hard to tell 7 years from now what our beast will be. Right now I hold the lead out of all my friends for the fastest car, I'm going for people my age but if my parents make me sell my car which I am fighting not to but if it does happen I'm going to build a beast. =)
