Post Headers make much of a difference?

Well I was thinkin the other day.. Yah I know scary.. Anyways, I was thinking about my next mod.. I'm kinda thinkin headers. They have to be the bottleneck in the current combo. Anyone have any idea how much hp to expect from going with headers? I already have a 2 1/2" h pipe and borla catback exhaust. I'm guessing 20hp.. well hoping is more like it. Thanks.

others may disagree but... stock head, stock cam, stock rockerS = stock headers. its been our EXPERIENCE that 1 5/8 headers actually slow ET down if your using the stock heads, etc. i have HEARD, although, that a nice set of 1 1/2 headers work well.

Makes sense, I probably need the added backpressure its adding... So, got any suggestions as to my next mod then? Its kind of out in the open. I guess I could just save for that new engine I've been wanting.

Cool

Have you ever looked at the factory "headers"? *LMAO* What a poor excuse for headers..

Open it up...install some 1 1/2 headers if you don't plan on doing many mods in the future...But if you do plan on adding heads,cam,intake...most definately move up to 1 5/8 headers, preferably long tubes as well.

Fords have a heck of a time breathing,so the easier you make them breathe, the better off you will be.

I put 1 5/8 BBK equal length headers on my stang and it feels like I lost some low end torque but it feels like it pulls harder in the top end over all I think I probably lost ET but I got the 1 5/8 cause I plan on puting on some trick flow heads later this summer

Well late in the summer I plan on ordering my Incon Twin Turbo kit... so I probably won't go with headers. Its probably just time to add more cash to the pot...
