Default Edelbrock 5.0 or Trick Flow Street?

I have the oppurtunity to buy a brand new Edelbrock Performer EFI intake for $150. The problem is that I had my mind set on some Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Heads as well. I will be adding a TF stage 1 cam at the same time. Will I really benefit by matching the intake to the combo listed above? I know they are all designed to work together, but for $150 I would like to find out how much it will really matter.

I like the looks of the Edelbrock, but how well will it work with the TW heads?

The car has the following already installed:
1. MAC CAI
2. C&L 73mm MAF
3. Texas Turbo 1 5/8 unequal length headers
4. Summit Off-road H-pipe
5. 65mm TB/EGR
6. FMS 9mm wires
7. Crane PS91 coil
8. Griffin aluminum radiator with Electric fan
9. Battery in the trunk.
10. No smog equipment

No, I found them on Ebay! I bought them because I remember when Texas Turbo used to be one of the leaders in Mustang performance. I am kind of old school I guess. The headers are excellent quality and look brand new. Thanks for the help.

Components of the same brand are designed to work best together out of the box. But that's not to say you can't mix and match components either. You can port match for optimal flow, and have a better running motor with parts of all different brands, then with parts of the same brand. If it were me I would pick up the intake for $150 bucks. That seems like a pretty good deal to me.

My friend has a 331 with Trick Flow heads with the Performer RPM intake. It runs 11.60@117. For a 150$ if you dont want it, I will buy it.
