Default HELP!!! Need help with my exhaust, smog?

Hey , i am going to do a custom exhaust, ill be doing all the piping and such myself. I noticed that there is a tube welded in my h-pipe that runs up into my engine compartment, what do i do with this? do i cut the hose there and plug it where the hose connects? It looks like it could be the thermactor pump?? What do i do about this? Can i take off just the piping and plug where that pump goes or what? PLEASE HELP ASAP! THANKS!

Default tube

Do you have to have smog for inspections where you live? If they do emmission testing then you will need it connected. Otherwise ditch the whole smog pump and related parts as long as you are not running cats.
