Angry STRONG.... gas smell getting worse HELP ME!!!

ok here it is i have a 92 gt 5.0l with a mac cold air induction kit i am running bosch platnum 4x4 plugs and motorsport 8mm wires.
i am getting a strong gas smell from the front of the car where the air filter in the fender is i have checked all the plugs, hoses, wires and caps that look like they could come loose and everthing is tight and snug. someone advised me to check throttle body and pcv valves well the throttle body looks to be tight the gasket is in good shape and the pcv valve is tight at least what i think is the valve looks good. where is exactly is the valve and what does it look like? i have looked for loose connections behind the motor next to the firewall and all is o.k did i mention i can smell it while i come to a stop at a red light...yes its that bad. by the way all the connections by the charcole box are ok. so if anyone can help me i would appreciate it ALOT!!!!

Default PCV Valve

Upon reading your post, my first thought was the PCV Valve, it is located in the lower manifold directly behind the back (firewall) side of the upper intake, back there in never-never land, it's buried back there bud, but it's there, good flashlight and you'll find it, also is your MAP good?, check all connections to manifolds, and check your charcoal canister, they only last so long and gas stink city!!!!!!!!!

Didn't bump the fuel lines and crack 'em did ya???????????

Also, a good PCV valve is worthless without a good screen in the lower....

Good luck..be patient

Jay

I already got this problem on my 88 GT. This was a hole in the hose from the charcoal canister. The problem was a little hard to find because the hose wasn't cut.

My car is a 60k mile and this hose is not protected. To access it i just had to remove the screws who's attaching the plastic cover in the passenger left fender. Just lower the 5.0 badge.
You'll see two or three hose. The one we're looking for is in plastic. The hole is made because the hose is scratching on the frame. Straight on the join of the firewall and the floor.

Hope this help.

(p.s. Maybe i could get pics tomorrow. )

while your changing the pvc there is a rubber seal that the pcv sits in. I had to replace mine after i saw that the valve didnt fit tightly in its hole.
