Post help this isn't right!!! 13.1 at 95

i should be happy, that is the best i have ever run on a street tire (Eagle GT 2's harder then sin) but the car hooked and booked out of the hole, and then in third gear (AOD tranny) it felt like it was hitting a violent rev limiter at 5,000 rpm's. Last week on the dyno it pulled hard to 6000 without a problem. Remember this is a blower car. It was having an overheating problem that we believe is either the water pump of a airbubble in the system. Thanks in advance

That's one hell of an E.T. for 95 mph. How much boost are you running? I had a similar problem but it was due to fuel starvation. Some junk got in the lines and caused some sputtering at high RPMs when the gas needed all 3/8s of that line to feed the engine.

That is what happened, the engine sputtered at high RPM's. It was like hitting a rev limiter. We were playing around last night and think the pump died. I have a 255 intank ready and waiting the installation. Hopefully that will cure the problem.

Thats crazy! What about fourth?

I would bet that your a little low on fuel, what injectors do you have to go with that 255? Do you have an adjustable FPR?

That would be easy enough to do with a 12 second car and just let off the gas before the finish line.

But since you didn't do this intentionally, you definately have a problem. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge in the car that you can monitor while making a run?

Thats great , glad you found a problem. But do you know why they plugs burned off the electrodes ? Running too lean ??? Keep looking, it might happen again. Just trying to help.
