Talking WOOOHOOOO!!!

Ok...so I just got the go ahead for my summer project. I've got quite a bit of money to spend but it has to go quite a few ways. I'd like some info on where to get some of the following:

331 Longblock
Kenne Belle blower
Torque arm/panhard bar setup
K-member w/ front coil overs
Baer Sport fronts
Some sort of complete fuel system (lines from tank to rails, rails, regulator, prefferably an intank pump, and hardware)

I know of places to get this stuff...I'd just like to get a good deal on it. And suggestions on engine builders is always good (anybody know if the CCM 331s are good quality?).

a couple of my friends have had experiance with DSS for short blocks they are extremly high quality and they claim to make 30 to 40 more horse power n/a and 60 to 70 more(than other 331 kits) with forced induction due to their use of "torque plate" boreing that produces straighter bores and increased ring seal.the blocks are stress relived and magnifluxed.A forged crank is another $300 over the $3000 price tag , but i belive its worth it from the literature i've read.Good luck!

I actually never understood how that claim could be true. Any performance engine builder worth their tools will torque plate hone a block. I think they're big thing is ring seal (which torque plating certainly helps). Anybody else?

5.0 Mustang was featuring a build-up of their real street motor. I believe they went through DSS and there's quite a bit of good info about DSS and their methods in that article. It sounds like a decent outfit.

You want a complete fuel system? Look no further than Aeromotive.

I have a D&D K-member with coil-overs but I have yet to install it. About a year ago, everyone in the pro ranks was using D&D's stuff. This is why I bought their K-member along with the fact that it offers the most header clearance.

One last comment -- I feel that your 331c.i. combo deserves a T-Trim, Novi 2000, or even a couple turbos -- rather than the Kenne Belle blower. I simply love the top-end pull along with the around town streetability of a centrifugally-blown mustang. Of course, this is my opinion. If you want tons of off-idle torque then the Kenne Belle is the way to go -- no question about that.

Red514LX-

I've seen the D & D stuff too. Is it good for street driving/corner carving or just at the strip? Perhaps I should state where I'm going with this car. This is kind of going to be a weekend cruising show car that will probably see some limited track time. I mostly want to go street racing and I just got a new truck so that Mustang can be out of commission for a while. I want a setup that can take corners like it's on rails as well as go in a straight line (hence the TA/panhard bar setup as well). I'm looking at Kenne Belle stuff because the car won't see much time at high rpm. I'd rather leave in a lower rear end gear and have that instant boost right off the line. I'll be mostly street racing and I want to have a huge torque hit as soon as that light turns green. BUT you never see any prices on Kenne Belle stuff and I tried calling them today and got a busy signal for like 30 minutes before I had to give up and go to work.

40 hp because of superior ring seal? I have to raise the bullshit flag. Lots of people have complained about DSS in the past. Stick with CCM. Thier customer service is excellent.

Definitely. Torque plating is fairly common for high performance. There's nothing unique or proprietary about it.

About that Kenne Bell blower...as some of you know I've used one (actually several) for over 5 years, and I had a lot of headaches. I will never go back to KB. Send me a private message if you want to know why.
