rear end question
In my new motor, i got the for e303 cam. i didnt have the money to put a new rear end in yet, i still got the crappy stock 2.73 (blehh sick aint it?). From a dead stop up to about 3.5K rpm, there is barely any power, but once i hit 3.5K i take off like a bat outa hell. Is this due to the fact that the cams power band is above 3.5K and i got a small rear end?
If so, if i upgrade to a 3.55 or 3.73, will it get rid of that dead rpm spot? |

no... if you get a different set of gears, you will still have a "dead spot". It will minimize it by launching you faster, but you will still feel it kick in harder at 3.5k. I have 3.73's and it launches pretty quick, but doesn't pull hard until 3-3.5k. Once it gets in that range, it's all over from there.
