![]() I'm starting to buy parts for rebuilding my 351w that's in my '82GT
and I am debating what cam specs I will need. This is my combo so far: - Forged flat top pistons(.060) - Edelbrock performer intake - Carter 625 carb. - Mallory electronic distributer - BBK shorty headers w/ flowmaster exhaust Most of the stuff I already have. I just bought the rebuild kit from Summit Racing last night. I'll be runnig a C-4 tranny with a 2000 stall converter. Depending on my cash flow, I will either keep my '69 heads and freshen them up or buy aftermarket heads. It will be street/strip car. I was thinking of Competition Cams 280* with .512 lift int/exh. I want something that will work with what I have but I also want to hear a nice radical idle. I also think about a duel pattern profile from Cran Cams with those similiar specs. What do you guys think? Are those specs in the right ballpark for me? I'm open for suggestions.
