Question rich condition

I just got through changing my plugs in my car and gapping them at .45 and set the fuel pressure at 43 with the the regulator unplugged and you can go to the back of the car and smell the fuel coming out of the exhaust. The plugs i bought was ford #42. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
