![]() Hey, I just recently bought an 87 Mustang GT, 5.0, 5 speed, it has 3.55 gears, march ram air and underdrive pulleys, and an exhaust from the manifolds back. What kind of quarter time should I expect to run? Also, what will it take to get deep into the 13's? thanks for any help, im new to the fox bodies.

![]() It depends on how it runs now. There's the odd stocker that is 13's capable from the factory but they're not as common as some will have you believe. You can get deep 13's by many different routes, just depends on how much you want to spend or how many sacrifices you are willing to make. Power adder? N/A (intake, heads, cam), extreme diet and suspension or a combination of these will get you there. So first off, what do you want out of the car and how fast do you eventually want to go?

![]() Well, I'm in high school so I need a combo that is still daily driveable. In the end, I'm shooting for high 12's that can be driven daily and to the track and back. I may just go with some bolt ons and a novi if i can find one cheap enough.

![]() You have gears which is good. The stock lower intake is the biggest restriction in the stock upper/lower intake. I have customers running high 12s and low 13s on my ported stock lower. A Cobra family intake (GT40, Cobra, Explorer) or a Performer are good choices too. I charge $100 for porting + about $30 round trip shipping.

![]() Well, I think the first thing I'm going to do is buy subframe connectors and a shifter. Who makes the best sfc's and short throw? and how much is it to get sfc's installed? thanks

![]() Both those mods are good steps. Get the subframes welded in, I found someone that did it for $40 Canadan.
I also like my B&M ripper, there are other good choices too.
