Are you running dished pistons and 42 # injectors on an all motor 347 stroker?
The pump is easy to change. Removal of 2 bolts will drop the tank and its easy money from there

Fuel pump is easy, 1-2 hours at most.

theres a rubber peice that goes into the tank where the filler neck goes in...might be a good idea to replace this while the tank is out or at least make note of its condition...i was just changing out my pump yesturday and mine was riped and i had to order one from the ford dealer

I put in a BBK 255 LPH pump and what they don't mention is that the pump flows SOOOO much that you have to upgrade your fuel lines.
Before install, fuel pressure set at 35 psi with my adjustable fuel pressure regulator at idle. After install fuel pressure was at 85 psi. i removed the return line and ran a line to a bucket and pressure dropped to 35 psi. I reconnected the return line at the fuel rail and disconnected at the pickup and ran it into a bucket.....still 85 psi. No kinks in the lines and nothing restricting except for the diameter of the line. So my next mod will be bigger fuel rail, AN steel braided fuel lines and a new fuel tank pickup (somewhere in the $400+ dollar range ) I would probably go no bigger than 190 lph unless you really need it.

Pretty easy to change, I would suggest running the gas out of the tank first. It can get pretty heavy with gas in it. Gas weighs something like 7lbs / gallon.

fuel pressure
Right on. So is your fuel pressure way up to 85psi. like 84LX89GT was saying? I've heard of many people running the 255lph intank pumps without having to upgrade their fuel lines??

actually i only started it up to make sure it worked, so i didnt check the fuel pressure yet. i originally had it set at like 52 psi, so i'll see what it says later and post back tomorrow.
