what should i get???
Ive come across some $$$ and dont know what to get next, my choices are a polished typhoon intake manifold, the mustang LX body kit from cervinis, flowmasters, eibachs, mac headers, or a new sound system. I would need to save up more money for paint on the body kit, and more money on the installation of eibachs or flowmasters. So which one of these choices would you guys get? Im kinda leaning towards the body kit but want some suggestions.

Id say go for the headers. They'll give you some power, make the car sound nicer, and then you dont have to drive around with a different color body kit.

I say go for some Flows, but maybe check into some other brands. I think the last thing I would probably get is the body kit. The stereo system would be my second choice.

two people have said to look at mufflers other that flows...what other muffler brands are good? I want a low rumble at idle but i want it to scream when at full throttle, i guess thats obvious.
GhettoPop, the only reason i havent gotten a new shifter is because i dont want the inside of my car to be loud as hell from the transmission working. Ive been in a few mustangs with them and I like mine quite on the inside, loud outside. The reason i kind of wanted the body kit is to cover up a rust spot about the size of a half dollar near the driverside rocker panel. Then I realized it would only cover up the problem, not solve it. Ackbar..that girls f.cking hot, haha...dont have 4 grand for a turbo thanks for all your suggestions...keep them coming

yeah the tri-ax lets u hear the tranny more, but its well worth the improved shifting anyday IMO
i got magnaflows w/ an x-pipe. idle is a low rumble, not very loud, but it gets loud when u mash the gas. very unique tone and i like it a lot. i'm sick of everyone and their mom w/ flowmaster drone syndrome. since u want a body kit too, go all out a create a nice side exhaust system that goes with your body kit. spintech and bassani make kits or u can make your own. that would be real cool..........i should have did that

Anyways. up until now I heard good things about magnaflows, but they sound like crap on those clips(mustangexhaust.com). The ones I liked in no particular order were of course the flowmasters, the flowtechs actually sounded pretty good too and the bassani QT's were nice. The rest just either werent loud enough or were way to "raspy", more of an import sound IMO.

I agree that everyone has flowtech's and i think they sound bad now. Do something different. I personally love the sound of my dynomax super turbo's. We have them on all 3 mustangs at our house. They give you a nice rumble thats not deafening at idle and then when you open her up they get louder and alot more noticeable.

Anything is better than glass packs, Ghettopops got my mind goin thinking about side pipes now. Damnn i wish i could have it all. Theres another though, i didnt think i was gonna be able to do it, but my friend will sell me his bullits and tires for $600, all i would need is the 5-lug conversion, but Im only 19 and still learning. Id probably screw something up trying to change axles.
Heth...do you come into st. louis much??? I live in south county if youre ever up this way. I know a few guys with really fast mustangs around here. A 93 cobra thats bad *****. just wondering.

I am in STL every now and then. I have quite a few friends from around there....Chesterfield, Fenton, and North county. The guy that I usually go to see in STL just got sent to Chicago for a few months for work, so I doubt I'll be around anytime soon. Thanks for the invite though!

well i got a few freinds down at mizzou, just never been down to see them. Ill tell you if im makin any trips down there any time.
Alright everybody, I know its generic and everyone has them but i ordered some 40 series flows for 78 bucks. I thought it was a good deal. How much is it goiing to cost for carx or midas cut the nasty glass packs off and weld the flows on??? Am I gonna be paying more for the install than I am for the mufflers?
