Mine were real tight also, I just used a long extension and torqued it out for a while, I'm not sure there's much else you can do other than try a long extension with an impact gun.

I used two universals and a 16 inch extention to get that damn bolt off and lots of penetrating fluid. Took me a almost 2 hours.

Hmmm... I've just always dropped the entire tranny with the bell housing. It's certainly not much more work.

When I get the tranny out, I stick a solid box end wrench on the tranny to bell bolts, and hit it with a 2lb hammer.

Never had a problem.

I finally got it, now it's sunday morning, and the shop's closed, oh well im proud of myself, i had my little brother, his friend, (pretty strong guys) trying, and they couldnt get it, now i just need help pulling it away from the motor, i dont want to damage anything, thnx for your help guys, i'll let ya know how the new one runs, or rebuilt one.

Oh could the weight leaning back damage my motor mounts? cuz i noticed a crack in the rubber motor mounts, cuz of course the weight dropped the motor back.

4 wods of advice to all having trouble with tight bolts, BIG @SS JOHNSON BAR. I have a 18" long 1/2" drive snap-on breaker bar that made the job a breeze.

Great, sounds like I in for some punishment/frustration. I should be taking out my T5 tonight or tomorrow. I guess I'll try the breaker bar method or just do what Unit suggested.

the easiest way to side the tranny out is on a small hyd jack. you can pull it away and lower it at the same time. just make sure the trans is balanced on the center of the jack. I always use a jack stand to support the engine at the bell housing. just remember to take the jack out before putting the new trans in. it will be alot easier to line up. While the trans is out replace the throw out bearing. it will save you alot of headaches later.
