OK, got my new 1.7 rockers today (which is what the cam manuacturer ground the cam for) mock everything up, used head gaskets, checker springs, dial indicator on the retainer. I don't trust the "clay" method.

Anyways, got OOODLES on the exhaust, no issues there. Only have .085" at ZERO lash on the intake. Mech. roller cam. Run it? (My vote is here) Retard the cam? Go with 1.6 rockers? Cutting the pistons is NOT an option, have to be at FFW Norwalk, in 3 weeks. HELP! Whatch think?

if you are running an automatic I say run it. If a stick make sure you run a revlimter. If you can stand to lose a little compression try a thicker head gasket. good luck

Forged steel rods, and a killer Tremec stick. Have the rev limiter set at 8,000 right now.
