Default How To Make Cooling Fan Automaticly Turn On

I Just Changed To An Electric Fan An I Need To No How To Wire It Up So It Automaticly Comes On At A Certian Temp......

u can buy a controller from the local auto parts store, but depending on the fan you have, u may need to update to a bigger relay.

There are thermostatic switches for sale that will automatically turn your fan off/on via a relay. I just put one in my 10" elecrtric fan that goes on my trans. cooler. It (a TCI thermostatic switch) turns the fan on at 185F and off again at 165F and is not adjustable. It was easy to install and cost 39.95 I think. I got it from Summit, but it was a special order item. I do have mine running through an oil pressure switch as well so that the fan won't come on unless the engine is running. There are adjustable thermostatic switches available but I had bad luck with one of those several years ago and so was reluctant to try another one.
