tubular k member with stock a arms??

I have an 88 gt and wanted to ose some pounds so i have decided to go with a tubular k member just one problem i dont want to go with coil overs i want to stay with my stock spring and a arms. does anyone out there make one that will still allow me to do this if so what company and do they ship to canada!?

Just about all of them will allow you to use stock A-arms. AJE, UPR, QA-1 and D&D will all let you do this.

How much weight savings can you expect by just doing the K member?

i have heard about 28 to 30 pounds saved!! but dont hold me to that.

Going to the full coil over setup you can expect to save about 60 or more pounds.

I've heard from numerous people the D&D one is a major pain in the ass, especially with some of the larger OD longtube headers. I'd suggest UPR, but that's just me.

You can always add the tubular a-arms and coilovers at a later date to get the weight down even more.

header clearance mainly. Which for me is kinda defeating part of the purpose of the tubular K, as I love having the extra room in there to work. Also when you drop tools, they just go to the floor instead of finding a little crevice inside the stock k-member to hide, lol. BUT, like I said if you're not going to be using a big longtube header then you should be ok.

i am using flowtech long tubes, but i hope i can get around it some way? i dont really wanna put shorties on cuz then i have to redo all my 3in exh. pipe.
anymore little tips??

you should still be able to use them, just might be a little tight in some spots.

I'm using the QA1/HAL k-member, and it seems to work pretty well.
