Question My stock pistons and nitrous

Hey all - I just thought of something.....will my stock pistons hold up ok if I add 125/150 shot of nitrous? I believe they'l e fine, but I want to make sure. I'd like to have all the necessities to support it before running it, breaking it and rebuilding it. Thanks guys!

GEt a better fuel pump (if you have the stock unit) and you should be fine. If it goes lean you're screwed

I dont know if i would go more than a 125 shot in that, your pistons maybe able to handle it but, you also have to consider the connecting rods, and how well they will hold up.i think you should be fine though!

Remember with a 150 shot your approaching the total HP that a 5.0 block can hold 500-550.

The pistons will be fine, just make sure you have a good fuel system.

Cool

So even w/ my 190lb intank.....the best choice would be a 125 shot? Either or, I THINK it'll get me to where I want to be - in the low 11's. f I stick w/ 125 shot, will my stock block, pistons, rods, etc be ok?
.....thanks again guys!

The motor should hold up fine.

You will definatly need a 255lph pump or a inline pump to go with the 190.

The 190 alone will not be enough.
