Post removed pcv screen-took 7qts oil

I removed and replaced the pcv screen and changed the oil and filter and it took 7 qts just to bring it up to the add 1 qt mark(after market dip stick)and after running the engine i rechecked it and the oil on the stick had small bubbles in it.The Chiltons book says it takes 5 qts,any ideas?'92 gt 5.0 stock as far as i know ,bought used. Also i have changed the oil on a '93 Caravan that i know takes 5 qts and when i drained the Stang it took a lot longer to drain.
