![]() I have tried No Fog products and they work for a bit. But then a day later it is right back to fogging up. Every morning I drive in to work, now that the mornings are cool the all interior windows fog out. And my Defroster doesn't help that much. With exception to the rear defroster.
It is dangerous in brite sunshine. I had to stop a few times. Any Ideas? ------------------ 86 GT - BBK Equal shorties, BBK H-pipe, Flowmasters, 70mm Tb, BBK cold air intake. Automatic.3.73's 96k miles. |

![]() You may have some moisture leaking into the interior via worn door/window seals or other leaks. Check out everything where moisture could get in. Your defroster should help more than you say it does. Might want to check for clear defroster ducts and that all the hot air is going to the windshild. Also check for good heat.
If all else fails, I would suggest keeping an old hand towel in the car and use that to wipe the moisture off the windshild when necessary. Once the heavy moisture is dried, the defroster should be able to keep it off. Beats having to pull over or worse yet, having an accident because you couldn't see where you were going. |

![]() thanks Mr 50
The hatch may be the problem. The weather stripping on the while car is good. But the hatch dosn't fit as well as I think it should. ------------------ 86 GT - BBK Equal shorties, BBK H-pipe, Flowmasters, 70mm Tb, BBK cold air intake. Automatic.3.73's 96k miles. |

![]() Yeah most no fog produts work for a little while, but I would suggest using RAIN-X interior anti-fog, it's works great.

![]() Check and see if there are any missing plugs in the floor (you'll have to physically look under the car for the round rubber plugs) or if there is a puddle or open hole from a missing plug under the spare tire. Another thing you can do is to check and see if the plastic moisture shield is still in place between the inside of the door panel and the door itslef (but...you'll have to take the door panel off, which will take 5-10 minutes. See what happens when you adjust your hatch, that also may be causing moisture to get in. Are there any wet spots on your floor when it rains?

![]() There are no signs of any leakage at all. That is why this is so strange.
One thing I forgot to mention, my AC has stopped working and is going in for repair. Would this contribute to this problem? ------------------ 86 GT - BBK Equal shorties, BBK H-pipe, Flowmasters, 70mm Tb, BBK cold air intake. Automatic.3.73's 96k miles. |

![]() I'm not sure about the '86, but in my '89, when the defroster is on, the AC comes on to help disperse the moisture and humidity in the car.
If your AC isn't working, that's probably the reason you're experiencing the fogging problem. Just drive with your window cracked, that should help. ------------------ '89 LX 5.0 - 5 speed. Original Owner '94 E-150 4.9 Hi-Top Conversion Van |

![]() all A/C units have dehumidifiers built into them, because cold moist air is very uncomfortable... so that is your problem... as soon as you fix that the defroster should work MUCH better...
