Combo Questions ??? (Heads/Cam/Intake)

I'm planning a mild build-up on my '94 GT and could use some advice. I already have a SysteMax I lower awaiting installation, but other dudes on the board are saying to get heads also because the intake is actually a decent piece. Here's where the decisions begin. Should I opt for something like iron GT-40's or should I get aluminum heads like the 6037 Edelbrocks? I don't want real big valve sizes and I'll probably go with a Crane 2031 since I already have the 1.7's. Considering the amount of labor involved to swap heads I'm not concerned about the added cost of the aluminums if they're worth it. Any advice or input is welcome.
