1987 gt Fuel problems
Hi,
Im not sure exactly where to post this. But. Here is my problem. I recently bought a 87 mustang. I had a 90 model mustang that was wrecked, well i changed every thing out. And it works, as far as i know. Because i cant get electricity from the fuel relay to the gas pump. I dont know what to do. If all else fails i will have to rewire it. And i wanna avoid that, Please help. When i turn on the key, it clicks but the pump doesnt prime. And the pump is good. becouse we have tested it.

It sounds almost like the impact enertia switch has been tripped.
Have you tested the relay? -Josh, aka the tireburner

If you take the relay out, here's how to test it if you dont already know. Take some jumpers from your battery and connect one from the positive terminal to one of the small spades inside the relay. Connect the other from the negative to the other small spade terminal. You may have to switch them, cause I'm not sure whats what off hand. If it clicks its good, otherwise we'll have to go from there. Good luck!
