Default Silly Question

OK, I have a feeling that there is no good answer for this, but I have to ask. When I bought my car, the previous owner had done some mods to it, one of which was a different cam. You can tell the difference between it and stock, it really comes on after 2.5-3k. My delemma is that I am trying to figure out a plan for modding the car, and I want to know what I have to work with. I was wondering if there was any way to figure out what type of cam it has?

Thanks in advance,
Jorge

You can measure the lift at the valves, but that will just put you in the ballpark. i would try and contact the original owner and ask them.

Take care,
