Question smog pump froze

I'm buying an 89 GT for $500 to use as a parts car and the smog pump is locked up.

I need to drive it home which is only about 7 miles from where i'm getting the car. I want to bypass the pump but need to know the length of belt to get before I pick up the car.

Or is there something else I can do to get it home safely? Towing is out of the question too much $$.

Thanks in advance.

I hear a set of pantyhose wound tightly around whatever pulleys u need holds on for a little while. I'm not sure of the belt size though sorry. You could always run down with a piece of string and take measurement to be sure. You may be able to run the 7 miles without a belt.

The belt size your asking for should be 84.5'', as long as the car still has stock pulleys. It should be routed like this.

This is saying the obvious, but attach a boxwrench to a pulley bolt on the airpump and give it a solid whack with a dead blow mallet. If THAT doesnt break it free, nothing in the entire world will. Before you do this, though, give it a small whack on the face of the pulley to loosen it up. The vanes inside the airpump are plastic, so they should shatter easily
