Snorkel on top of cowl hoods..who's got one?
I was just wondering if anybody here has done this or something similar. I am thinking of doing this on my 91GT, I would be attaching a Harwood Pro-Snorkel on top of my 4" Cowl, it would look similar to John Gulletts car but he only has a 2.5" cowl. I have an idea to make it fully functional with my fuelie if I can make it work, I will be mocking one up soon before I spend the cash on the scoop. Any pic's??

Isn't that kinda over the moon? I mean, sure.....if you're running a 600+ inch pro mod car or something. But what's that huge hood and scoop gonna do on on a street/strip car? I'm not by any means knocking the idea, it just seems like overkill to me. If you do get it hooked up I'd like a pic.

Well I really like the look of John Gulletts car, I have had my 4" Cowl for a while now but I like the look of the svo scoop on top of the hood that is available now, and I was thinking why not make it functional because it would look a little weird on a fuelie motor a carbed motor I could understand the need. Just wanted something different and since I have this awesome idea to make it fully functional it might not seem like such overkill especially if it increase's power due to the cooler air I will be pulling off the hood instead of the hot asphalt. Anybody else?
What Xtreme Energy cam are you running? DO you like it? [This message has been edited by Rick 91GT (edited 01-16-2001).] |
