Default some input on my noise

Ok, Here's the deal. I changed my oil this morning. No big deal and the pony ran great all day. This evening as i drove to a friends house she started making some really strange noises like an exaust leak at the header to head location... I drove on for a few more minutes and it started to bog down a little but didn't threaten to stall on me. i noticed that there was absolutely NO oil pressure at all. I turned around and drove home. When i opened the hood there was a terrible clicking sound coming from the dead center of the engine. I scanned the EEC IV and aside from some expected errors that i always get due to some mods to the intake there was nothing unusual. Yes, I ran the cylinder balance test as well and it reported a 90 so there's probably not a compression problem. What catastophy has occured? any ideas?

Thanks for any input you might have!

Rick.
