![]() I have a 94 cobra
flowmaster cat back, bassani x-pipe, cold air induct, k&n, subframes, upper and lower rear control arms, and 3.73 gears. I am looking at getting a tb, cam, maf, injectors, strut tower braces, and headers. I am not sure if i will need anything to go with this stuff, what sizes or brands to get, or even where i can buy this stuff. PLEASE HELP Also would you suggest buying this kind of stuff or perhaps saving for a turbo or super charger? I am also looking at swaping my computer, but i have a different post on the subject. |

![]() your injectors are good for now, unless you get a blower, but id suggest, subframe connectors (welded in), before you get a strut tower brace, or both, if you have the cash, fuel pressure regulator, tb you have is good, being a cobra.
headers??, i would do a longtube setup, you wont regret it, it may set you back about 500 or more if you get cats, i would look into ordering some parts from summitt, or check around classifieds. good luck... ![]()

![]() Don't get the cam, maf and injectors now if you plan on a blower. You don't need bigger injectors and the car won't run well with them. Cobra's come stock with 24#, right? You may also want to do the cam with the blower, as to get the ideal set-up.
I'd get the headers and save for the blower. You may also want to consider some head work and a cam to match while you save money for the blower.

![]() I would go with bbk longtubes, they fit nice and look nice for a decent price, got mine from summit, can't remember how much, not bad though, with the x pipe, the sound is awesome.
I'd look into the steeda cams, they really look good for our motors, and they work well with a blower should you ever go that route. A 65 mm tb helps out, the 94-95 have a 60 from the factory, any brand works, whatever you can find for a good price. Subframes are a must, i haven't gotten mine yet, but they tighten up the car SOO much, brand doesn't matter a whole lot. You could use a computer mod of some kind, that really holds 94-95 back, either an extender, eec tuner, or a PIH kit.

![]() I have subframes, they did help alot.
I think i will order up some of those headers. What brand of strut tower braces would you suggest? When you say blower, is that the same a s a charger, super or turbo, i am not 100% with the terminology. And i am not sure i will be able to save up that much money for a blower. As of now i have no income so saving isnt doing me much good, i was hoping to get some cash from reletives for x-mas but even with that i am still short. What is this PIH thing? I am just looking for things to make my car run better, my friend has a 89 gt that he is doing a ton of stuff to, and my other friend has a 96 camaro that is running mid to low 13's, and by spring he hopes to be breaking the 12's...so i need to get busy seeing as how i cant get into the 13's. How about a 100shot of NOS...how much will that cost and is it a good idea? |

![]() I'd go with the Maximum Motorsports strut tower brace... I found it to be beefier than most, I personally the the way it mounts better, and it'll clear any intake you might have. If I remember correct it costs ~$130 or so... not a bad deal.

![]() A blower is a supercharger or turbocharger, basically anything that acts like a hairdryer on your motor.
As for the PIH, it's the harness that allows you to put an older A9L processor in your car inplace of the crappy J4J1 that the cobras came with. It's kind've pricey because you have to buy a ignition system (msd, etc....) to go along with it, you also have to get a mass air meter for it to work right. So all and all it's pretty costly but a lot of people are happy with the way it works. Nitrous is a good cheap way to go, except if you have a heavy foot and leave the bottle on you're gonna spend a lot of money refilling bottles. There's also tuning involved in a nitrous system, more so in a wet system than dry, that's about all i can tell you about nitrous, i don't use it, i just want a vortech ![]() Don't think i've forgotten anything, hope this helps. ![]() Well, you know about the mass air i'm sure, but they go for anywhere from 200-300 depending on whether you get 75mm or 80mm.
An MSD box will run you around 170-230 or so, depending on whether you get one with rev limiter or not. The PIH kit which comes with the harness, fan controller and a9l processor is 570 from Brothers Performance, don't really know of anywhere else to get it from, but haven't looked. I think there was someone selling all this stuff for like $700 on one of these stang sites not sure. An individual i mean, that changed combos, can't remember which site, may have been corral, not for sure. www.corral.net, is that site. RYAN
