Post wan't to go faster with N/A speed density

Hi! I've a 88 gt and still speed density. I've got a complete exhaust, cold air kit, pulley, electric fan,3.55 gear,Maximum motorsport chassis brace package,MM rear lower control arm, steeda HD upper control arm. MY best e.t is 8.81 on the 1/8 mile ( no mph on the timeslip) My goal is to pick 3-4 tenth and keep the speed density computer

Lets see if I can remember that long ago! If you increase the air flow on a s/d system it will affect the way it drives (poorly)I was o.k. with ported stock heads and exhaust work, but when I added the cobra intake It was time for mass air! But I did run 13.20 on a sticky tire, must have good valve springs, and shift it good. 1.7 rockers did help some!

I've heard that the heads and the intake could be fully ported, but the cam can't be change because it the map sensor to see to much vaccum. A guy told me that i could put an explorer intake with the stock ported heads, but you need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and a rich/lean gauge to tune it. The speed density computer cause a rich mixture when it see to much vaccum wich cause driveability problem. That's what i've heard, correct me if i'm wrong.

well i have just what you said, explorer intake and ported stock heads, its got an AOD and can still muster up a 13.7 in the 1/4 (8.8x in the 1/8th) with street tires, im not sure if its the speed density that causes it but it seems to REALLY like cold weather, i hope to run low 13's when i put a T-5 in and get some traction

oh yah and with the setup i have now it likes a decent amount of fuel, it runs fastest with the pressure at 43, and the drivability is fine with it except for a very small surge in the idle sometimes
