Speed Density and Camshafts

Do aftermarket camshafts in a speed density controlled Mustang cause idle problems?

Lol, what kind of poll is that I thought Always and yes were the same thing.

Only some cams will work and they only work for people that know how to tune.

Some cams will work some of the time but all cams wont work all of the time.

it is not as simple as yes or no.......It has to be the right cam matched with the right combo....and you have to be able to tune.

You need to knock the SD chip off of your shoulder....Its like you are calling the people that do run cams with SD a liar.

Spend some time at the track I know of several guys running cams with SD.

geez, I thought I was polling, I understand it's not just that simple, I was looking for an overall opinion, now that i have your's, realize your not the only one looking at my thread genious! I don't have ANY chip on my shoulder, I'm intersted in purposely buying a SD car and applying what I've learned tuning my MASS AIR cars for the last 16 years for my son BIG DOG!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Speed Density and Camshafts

IMO, the best mod you can make to an SD engine is to change it over to MAF. The factory only used it for a very short time for a reason. http://forums.mustangworks.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

Any change that affects the air flow of an SD engine will cause it to run rough.
