speedo gear
 

I am trying to find out my true speed on the highway. I scrapped 2 Lentech AOD's in favor of a racing C4. I had a 4.10 gear with the AOD and the shop said thet put in the speedo gear that was white which would correspond to the right rear gear. I then broke the second Lentech street terminator + and got the C4 with 3.55 gears. Cann any one tell me what color speedo gear is for that gear and can you tell if the ring gear is a 3.55 by counting the number of teeth. My car now records 3500 rpm at 80 mph with the latest combo. I don't think the shop swapped out the 4.10 for the 3.55. What do you think?

The correct color for 3.55's in an auto trans is:

w/15" rims: Orange w/20 teeth

w/ 16" rims: Tan w/19 teeth

The final drive ratio is determined by counting the number of teeth on the ring gear and divide by the number of teeth on the pinion gear. I don't know off the top what the count is.
