starter stays engaged
After starting up my stang, the starter sometimes stays engaged. My guess was a solenoid was sticking somewhere. I have replaced the solenoid near the battery, the switch in the steering column, and the starter itself. I am still having this problem .
What could my problem be? Or, is it possible I replaced a bad switch with another bad switch?

Starter relay
I had this same problem. I replaced the starter relay with a bad one, so it the starter stayed engaged. I replaced it with a third relay and it hasn't given me any problems. -Keith

The new starter is a stock replacement one. Sounds like I may have just gotten a bad relay.
Kamaro Killer - I assume you are talking about the relay by the battery. Let me know if there is another relay I am missing. If not, I will try replacing that one again. Thanks!

I'd check to make sure your starter isn't grounding out on anything and the wire isn't pinched anywhere or frayed. Then if that all checks out, I'd get a new fenderwell solenoid as mentioned above.

I got a new solenoid to install tonight. I will check the ground cable while I am installing it to make sure every thing checks out okay.

For future reference, the next time this happens, try rapping the starter relay with the handle of a large screwdriver, and see if that get's it to stop.
Take care, -Chris
