![]() We've got an 1/8 mile track pretty close to where we live which I plan on taking my son to for his intro to straight line racing. This will be a good track for him to get familar with straight line racing, launching, and working on 60' times.
My question is that one of the classes requires line-locks on the brakes. We've got a 5-speed, are they complicated to install and work at the staging line with a 5-speed? What do you guys suggest is the best line-lock kit out there? Do you think this would be good to install looking forward to 1/4 mile racing? |

![]() A line lock plumbs into your front brake line and let you lock them up by holding pedal down and holding button on switch then release pedal and as long as you keep button on switch down your front brakes are locked freeing up you 2 feet to work clutch and gas pedal to doa burnout, also helpfull to keep you still at the line when ready to race. the tap into your brake line come from your master cyl, but to be legal at the drag strip they have to be after the proportioning(sp?) valve.
