Starting Problem
My car starts fine when its cold but when I start it up and let it get up to temp and shut it off it will not start back. It turns over really slow. It has a new starter on it. I thought maybe the starter is getting hot from the longtubes so I rapped it with some heat protechtant stuff but it does the same thing. If I hook a jump box to it, it starts but it still turns over slow. The car also has a new battery.
My question is if the distributor is off a tooth will it cause this? I think it may be this because I'm running 18* of timimg with no spark knocking. This basiclly is a stock motor(see sig.) I don't think I should be running this much timing without spark knocking.
