Default Best Shifter For The T45 Trans. Steeda Or Pro 5.0?

I HAVE A 2001 MUSTANG GT 5 SPD WITH THE STOCK SHIFTER. HERE SOON I WOULD LIKE TO GET A SHORT THROW SHIFTER. I'VER HEARD ALOT OF GREAT THINGS ABOUT THE STEEDA TRI-AX, BUT EVERYONE DOWN WHERE I LIVE TALKS ABOUT THE PRO 5.0 POWER TOWER IS THE BEST SHIFTER TO GO WITH? I NEED SOME HELP WHICH IS THE BEST?

Either one of those two is a great choice. It is debatable which is better between the two, but they are definitely better than most and other aftermarket shifter. I have heard it said before that the Steeda is a little more notchy than the Pro 5.0 as far as shift feel, but I cannot comment on this as I have the Steeda and have never felt to Pro 5.0

UPR Blue Thunder shifter stronger than Steedas but at a better price.

It's made by UPR products www.uprproducts.com it's basically the same thing as the Steeda shifter except for the handle is a little different. The aluminum used in the UPR shifter has a higher tensile strength over the Steeda plus overall it's cheaper. I had a Pro 5.0 shifter in my 92 Mustang for about a week and hated it.

I just didn't like the overall feel of it, and the handle was too tall.

Cool

I've got one of each and prefer the Pro 5 to the Triax.......The Triax is much more noiser than the Pro. The shifting motion is about the same.........

Do what i did. Find a few friends who have both. Get in the car, and try moving the shifter, and if you are lucky drive the car to see how they all feel. I liked the Steeda, and stayed with it.

Phil.
