Steering rack issue... question

We just got a new faster ratio rack for the '89 and it is a little different. The diameter of the mounts is smaller than the original. Here is a pic for comparison:

The mounts on the K-member are too big to fit the new rack's mounting holes. Has anyone seen this before? What should be done?

Thanks all...

Re: Steering rack issue... question

Yes, have dealt with it every time I do a rack on a Fox Mustang. The bushings supplied with the new "jobber" racks are from a Mustang II. You have to reuse your old sleeves and bushings from the old rack or order new ones. Just pop them out of both racks and install the originals in the machined hole in the new one.
