GOT THE STICKER!! Thanks to everyone who helped me!
YES! I passed emissions with a lot of room to spare today. with no smog pump on a 393 stroker! It felt awesome to see the sticker on the windshield! I went to the Ford dealer and the whole garage was in shock They couldn't believe it passed. My readings were HC 0.52, CO 1.91, NOx 1.57 I can't believe it. I was really worried about this from the day I had the car towed home. Thanks to everyone here at Mustangworks.com for keeping up a great site. I couldn't of finished this project without all the help and advice from you all. Next stop-DRAGSTRIP. I'm expecting 12's. If I don't get it...something is very wrong. Special thanks to PRKWUD and JIMBERG. I guess I should update my sig

Killer Man!! I know how great that feeling is! What sucks is how fast renewal is going to come up. You'll see! Thanks for the nod! You can and should thank the folks here that lent a hand, but you're the one who turned the wrenches and got dirty. I remember reading you first posts and thinking "this guy doesn't want to work, he just wants a simple answer". Boy was I wrong. You stuck with it and saw it through. You followed directions and ended up a winner. I know you learned alot along the way, too! You really should be congratulating yourself! Congratulations!!
BTW, what's the average running temp these days? Has it dropped any? How many miles are on it now? How many times have you changed the oil? Just curious. Thanks guys. All the work and effort was really worth it. I appreciate all the advice over the past 10 months.
Chris- She runs constantly at the line between 180 and 210 on the autometer which is probably around 195 and I'm using the 180 degree Robert Shaw thermo. During traffic she'll creep up a little but never close to 210. I got about 175 miles on it. I've changed the oil three times and first start was with ND straight 30. I haven't even pushed it over 4K RPM. Rick 91GT- I'm running BBK 351W swap shorties into the BBK H-pipe with cats into the Flowmasters. 2 1/2 all the way back. Thanks for the vote to get into the 11 second range but my cam grind is not aggresive I had no port-work done on the heads. But we'll see. |

Sounds excellent. You will notice a slight temp drop as the engine get's broken it. I'm really glad to hear it's still cooperating!
