Stock Air Intake Box Question

Does anyone know if the stock air intake box is the same on a 1992 Mustang 5.0 as a 1987 Mustang 5.0? I threw mine out a long time ago when I bought a K&N Filter setup, and now I need one in order to use Cervini's Ram Air kit. I found an '87 intake box, but I'm not sure whether it'll fit in my '92. Anyone know??

should be the same thing

I picked up one from a 86 GT to install on my 91 GT. They look the same to me.

Although it's been years since I saw the original one from my car that I chucked out, the picture of the '87 one appears to be the same. I guess I'll just go ahead and buy it online. Thanks for the reply tireburner163 . :)

air box

Yeah, you'll be fine. '86-'93 are all the same.

Air Box

Well yes they are MOSTLY all the same, some early SD boxes had a provision for the ACT sensor, a plastic nipple for hookup, BUT one thing alot of N/A guys do is use the intake tube from SD instead of the MAF tube, reason is that it is smooth inside versus rippled or corrugated like the MAF tube is, picky thing, but some swear the smooth tube helps driveability.........I agree.

To me....cold intake boxes, ram-air, etc is worthless until your running at least 110 or so in the quarter.
