Default Stock Cam

Has anyone changed the advance of a stock stick on a stock motor with success?

I have heard that you can retard/advance, not sure which, to make a stock stick run even better, although this is only recommended on fairly stock motors.

ANYONE?

There is definately power to be gained by degreeing the cam in! We have found significant gains with putting a stock cam in the right place!

Getting an engine builder to devuldge where they put their cams is like trying to get oil from a water spout. If you leave it where it is you'll never know, if you move it too far or too little you will lose power. It takes alot of dyno time to figure this stuff out, and its not always repeatable, even with very similiar engines.

I have found one degree of advance ground in to the stock cams.
