Looking to buy and I need Advice...Fuel Pressure Test Gage and Compression Test Gage

My car is still misfiring and I need to see if the fuel pressure is good, so I need to buy a gage. I have wanted one for a while, and there is no better time than the present. What type of range (psi) should I get and should I bother getting a combination fuel/vaccuum gage or just a fuel pressure gage. What brands are good? What are some prices that are fair?

I also want a compression gage and have some similar questions, mostly about price, brands, and psi ranges. I am also looking for the kind that comes with the adapter, so that different size threadings (14mm, 18 mm, etc) can be tested.

The local part stores(Auto Value and Napa) don't have squat. Their compression gages look like they have been in the store for the past 10 years and they don't have fuel pressure gages. I don't want to buy something that old. So, I will have to purchase this by the web or mail order.

This is more than I want to spend for a compression test kit, but is it worth it? (It is cheaper than Snap-on's $188 kit, but still more than I want to spend.)

Your Sears links aren't working for me, but it doesn't matter. They are who I recommend for both. They have an excellent fuel pressure tester and compression tester. Expect to spend $25-$35 for each, but rest assured, they are well worth it. They both come with any adapters you will need, as well as instructions. Make sure the fuel pressure tester is for EFI engines.

As far as a vacuum gauge, they sell one of those, too, and if you don't have one, I highly recommend buying one.

Sweet! I thought Sears might be a good place to look. We do have one of those up here (Houghton, MICH) too. They only sell electronics, lawn equipment, Tools, and home appliances, but what else would you need from Sears.

That is within my price range, since I need to get my car running right.
