Default Stock Injectors

Does anybody know what color stock fuel injectors would be on an 88 5.0 I ask this because I notice the injectors in my manifold are yellow, I thought just the aftermarket injectors from Ford racing were yellow? Also my fuel pump is loud, could this be an aftermarket fuel pump or is it just on its way out?

the stock 19lb injectors are orange in color, 24lb is blue and 30lbs is red, I have never heard of yellow ones. Usually an aftermarket pump is loud but you are right about the pump going out, I had a pump that was extremely loud for about 4 months till we swapped it out and had it checked, which they said it was on it's last leg, but our aftermarket one seemed just as loud, I also beleive the larger pump you go the louder it will be.

electric fuel pumps are noisy to begin with, at least the in tank ones, theres nothing we can do about that. and injectors are made by so many companies these days that the color has no issue to size UNLESS you know what brand they are. my injectors are steeda 42# and they are green, my stock 19 lb injectors are a faded yellow in color

To stang_racer's point - the 24# injectors in the Explorer intake I bought were Orange - but the body is quite a bit thinner.

Absolutely right, the colors I mentioned are Ford colors from Ford Racing. It is possible that you have some off brand injectors that are different in color, if you have a performance shop near by they might be able to test the injectors for you and find out.
