Post stock oil press guage??

I know it isnt exactly the most reliable guage in a 5.0, but my car has 174K miles, and the guage is sitting on the "L" on the "normal" most of the time... is this low? i have an oil cooler, and just went from synthetic, to 10w30 quaker state non synthtc. Is it dying it runs good, no noises that i can notice. thnx for any replies.

that is great for a car with that many miles. if you want to be more accurate, buy an auto meter press. gauge...my 2 cents

what is the differenc in these oil pressures? The haynes manual calls for 30-35psi of oil pressure I believe. So why does my guage stay between the R and M and my friends '94 GT stays over the M? Is it miles on the engine? What does low or high oil pressure mean as far as whats going on inside the engine?

I recently had to switch to a heavier weight, because my oil pressure was gettin low.. (165,000mi) It went way up since I switched!
