Post Should I buy (used) Front Sway Bar?

Hi,
Ok, out of the blue I started looking into a front sway bar kit. I called up the mustang junk store and they have just the front sway bar only for $75CDN ($55US). I could probablly bargain the price.

So what's the word? Should I consider buying it? If I do, what parts do I need, and how easy is the install? Does anyone have any (closeup) pics of sway bar installation? What kind of things should I look out for before buying the bar? Someone recommended I get a sway bar from a fox GT.

BTW, My car's a (pretty much stock) 1989 5.0L LX.

Thanks!
Bye!

what happened to yours? well i took mine out, doesnt do me any good, plus i broke a bushing that holds it on at top.

So if you want mine i'll sell it for cheap, and im sure the lx sway is the same as a gt.

you'll have to get new end links, i wouldnt even want to have to put mine back on, it's a pain in the arse

Hi,
Crap, I was confused between Sway Bars and Strut Tower Braces. Crap.

What I wanted was strut tower braces, and not sway bars. I guess I didn't do enough research.

Welp, if STRUT TOWER BRACES are worth it, then I'll call up the store to see if they have any used ones in good shape.

Bye!

Thumbs up

Strut Tower Braces are a great mod. I have the Maximum Motorsport one, and I believe taht the strut braces are the same for 87-93. The sway bars in GT's and LX's are the same, and an aftermarket strut tower brace would be the same for all models. You might conside subframes instead of the strut tower brace, because that gives a more noticeable improvement.

Just don't get BBK. They look cheesey and the bolts rust.
