Post Street/Strip suspension - ideas?

Maybe what i'm asking in this question is what is the best compramise of suspension for handling/drag racing (more for drag racing, but still fun to toss around corners) that i can put on my car. Most of my racing is in a straight line, but i want to be able to haul @ss around corners and feel safe on the freeway.

I'm going to be putting on my subframe connectors soon and the front sway bar already has polyeurethane bushings. My car has horrible wheel hop because the T-bird Turbo Coupe rear doesn't line up with the quad shocks correctly, so i had to remove them, and i have stock control arms.

What would you guys recommend for control arms or general suspension setup?
I like the compramise of drag and handling the stock springs/dampening offers but any ideas about a better way please tell me.
In the future this car will have quite a bit more power than i have now (I have adequate power for now) but i want to be able to take off from a stop with at least a little bit of traction without having to ride the clutch and granny shift.
I don't need to be able to launch at 5,000rpm or anything and i'd like to keep cost down (who doesn't ), it'd just be nice to have more confidence inspiring suspension.
Thanks for your time,
Rick

Oh.......i was also wondering what you guys think about regular control arms vs. Lift bars and also opinions about traction slapper bars (i've seen them for fox mustangs) or an adjustable pinion snubber. Thanks,

The adjustable uppers are supposed to be great, you can adjust them for street or strip. I don't know much about the lift bars, I have Factory 5 CA's on my ride. I'm gonna run lowering springs, nothing drastic, just an inch and a half, like the Eibachs or BBKs, and adjustable shocks and struts, like the Koni's, Tokikos or Hals. Seems to be the best of both worlds to me, I'm not ready to pull the sway bar yet.

Thanks, Chris91LX i appreciate your input. I'll definately look into those. I know that you adjust them for the pinion angle....any idea on how to fine-tune the adjustable style control arms. How did you set yours up?

I need the same thing, but i already pulled my swaybar, but as far as the rear, im getting megabite jr.s lower control arms, and i have seen people use 'monroe sensatrac's' on street strip mustangs with good handling and traction, think thats the way im heading, except i do nothing but dragrace, you could look into a complete handling package from MM, i like my mac SFc's, but now the car binds up the rearend, so LCA's are next mod, really think it'll tighten up around corners too.

thanks for your input Coupe5Oh,
I have a set of subframes i'll be putting on soon (possibly in 2 days if all goes well) so i heard that improves things dramatically, and i know that i need new front struts because the ones i have feel like the front end is floating at 40-50 mph over gentle bumps in the road and it excessively rebounds over speed bumps. the rear shocks are newer so i may not replace those, but i do know that i want new front struts. Deciding is so hard to do sometimes.
thanks,
