If you dont have a minimum of 5 grand to spend then dont even think about the turbo thing.  .......They are great and cool, make tons of power and are very streetable. There are kits that put 450HP and 450 TQ to the wheels with a stock engine. After fuel mods, tuning/computer mods and the turbo kit you are 5-8 grand deep.
A supercharger on the other hand is 2- 3 grand.
Whats your budget????
