Default suggestions for street duty engine

What's a good blower friendly intake setup for a street car?

for the street? just about any of them, my friend has a 94 vert with a powerdyne blower, he uses the stock intake with a phenolic spacer, car makes great power throughout the powerband.

But edelbrock prfmr, tfs street, cobra/gt-40 all should be fine on the street as well.

I would agree. I would just go with any of the major long runner intakes it is mostly just a matter of opinion which one's are better. Even the stock intake will do really well on the street with a blower.

I agree. There's a company out there making a polished Edelbrock Performer clone with a few minor changes. Flows as good or better than the Edelbrock and is quite a bit cheaper. If I can find the company name, I'll let you know.

Professional Products is the name of the company. The intakes are cast in China.

I seriously doubt it outflows the Ededlbrock manifold. Never heard that one before. The polished one looks great though!

Well, when I first heard about the intake, it was being made by Mac (if I remember correctly). I believe that they sold the design to Performance Products to avoid any legal issues. Anyway, if it's the same as the intake described in the article in 5.0 a while back, they had a curved plenum cover as opposed the the flat Edelbrock cover which supposedly helps to maintain flow velocity, and they reworked the geometry in a few of the runners of the lower intake to improve flow.

That price is a lot higher than the original price they predicted.

Good to know...I had heard a few negative comments about these...like someone mentioned earlier about casting flash, etc. Guess they are better than I thought...

We just put on a polished typhoon, looks nice, performs good, does outflow the edelbrock , thats because it was ported

Thanks for all the great suggestions guys. I remember seeing an article in one of my 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords magazine that did an intake comparison between 10 street/strip intakes on their performance and price. There was some good info but unfortunately I can't find it

Actually, going back and looking at the picture on the review, it doesn't look like that intake has the curved plenum cover. Maybe Mac kept that idea for themselves?
