ricky,
Alot would depend on what cam and compression you are running, then suspension, the tires, then??? The questions you asked seem alittle to vague to me. If it were me I'd search the users rides for the et you want and see what the combos are, that would give you a pretty good idea of what you need. I personally have had the Keith Craft 331 in for quite a few monthes... so far so good. I haven't been to the track or dyno yet so I really can't tell you what it runs or the hp. Check the users rides... Good Luck ------------------ Rick My 89lx(updated 11/5/2000) My 97 Cobra [This message has been edited by rbatson (edited 02-20-2001).] |

I guess it depends, more makes more. The heads you have will be your be down fall. They don't flow enough, CFM per minute to get big horse power they will make pretty good torque.
If you are running these heads and plan on a building up a 302 roller block, go with the 350 cu, displacement setup from Probe, it light weight and strong, for acam I would recommend a custom ground cam with the flowing specs, @50 230 intake/ 238 ex, with .540 to .550ex. This cam will give you good to excellent bottom end and a good 6300 rpm topend, and should make 350-plus horses and 380 or so foot pounds of torque. Watch the deck height, and don't cut on the block until you have taken a measurement, otherwsie your be in high compression hell. So other things to consider, will the motor be used with Nitrous, or a AirPump of any type if so, forged is the way to go. If not you can save some cash using some of the ocated pistons or even cast. Rods use good light weight rods even you have the cash other wise use a good rod like the eagle I beam or H beam replacement rods. Consider/ using the smaller chevy pins diamenters on the rods journals to lower bearing speed and friction loss.. ------------------ 393,9.5" 351W 830 Holley HP Victor Jr. Home made Cool Air Pan Pro Billet MSD |

Bigger is better! Why not toss a 351W in there with an Eagle kit and really make some power. No additives needed. (i.e. nitrous/boost, etc.). I've got their 14127 kit, (418 cubes), makes 572.6 HP @ 6400 and 517 ft tq @ 5400. That was with old victor jr intake. Have a super victor on now, spozed to be good for another 20 hp or so with my heads. In either case, good luck with your combo.
