Question Struts

I am looking to replace my front struts in my 92 GT and can't decide on what to get. My car has 150,000 miles on it and I'm not sure if they have ever been changed. The ride is very stiff and bumps seem to bang me around pretty good. Is this just how a mustang should ride? Im looking for struts in the range of $70 a piece nonadjustable. I also want the ride to be comfortable not bone-jarring. I'm leaning towards tokico but are there any others I should consider? Thanks
