![]() I was thinking about adding some weight to the trunk of my car. I was thinking about maybe putting some heavy weights in the trunk so I get better traction. I realize that I will propably take some mpg away, but I am just concerned about getting some more traction. What do you guys think? Thanks, Keith

![]() Adding trunk weight will help a bit with traction and it's free, but now you've added more weight for the engine to pull, too. Not that this cancels out the trunk-weight benefits, but it does diminish them a bit.
It would be better to upgrade the control arms and rear shocks, then go to a softer-compound tire, or if money is an issue, just run a stickier tire. |

![]() I have been running 1-2 bags of concrete in my rear hatch for years, this only really seems to help at the track (slicks) and with suspension mods, as guys stated above, you need to upgrade the rear suspension first, run a sticky tire, then try the Voodoo.
Put the battery in the back, thats a no brainer, cheap, it works in 2 ways, better traction and car handles better. Remove the front sway bar.

![]() Removing the front sway bar allows for much more weight transfer to the rear, improving traction.

![]() If you are set on putting more weight in the back. relocate the battery to the trunk that way you get the weight in the back that you want while taking some off the nose of the car were it needs to lose some and if you go this way mount the battery over the right rear tire as far back as you can.
