Post Exhaust question

Can you guys give me some ideas on which exhaust system to use? I have a 351 motor and T5 I am planning to put in my 83 GT so I know it will take different headers. I was looking at a complete MAC system including headers but have heard some people have had problems with their quality. A bolt on system would be nice so I wouldn't have to visit an exhaust shop. Any ideas?

Mac has at least as many people who have had bad experiances as good ones, BBK I've had a bad experiance with personally, so have others, but the majority seem to get lucky.

Flotech bites total *** . So does Catco.

I don't remember seeing anything bad posted about Dynomax, Bassani, SVO, Hooker, Borla, or Flowmaster.

The best info I can give you is try to keep everything with the same company if possible. Things should bolt up much easier that way.

Ya, Mac seems to have people both ways, bbk does have a lot of people who hate em, i've never tried. I've hear a couple of good stories about dynomax, but none from people on this board.

Go with the Mac all the way back.....the rhyming wasn't intentional...I've never had a problem with any of their stuff. The headers get rusty really quick, but oh well...I love the way my BBK equal lengths look, but there is a VERY VERY small leak on the passenger side that I have never been able to find. As far as the Mac flowpath mufflers and chrome tips, you will love them...I have had them on my 92 for about a year now, and they look as suite today as they did when I put them on, but thats also only 1000 miles or so....have fun!!!!!!!

Thanks for your input guys. I'll probably go with the MAC system.
