Post Suspension tips and or hints

'86 GT 5 speed 122K

I am attempting to replace the suspension as it is like riding in a '70 LTD. I am on a budget and really want to do it myself and learn but don't want to forget or not know something.

I am thinking of going with all Koni shocks and struts and Eibach springs. Any suggestions? Do I need new bushing? Is Urethane ok to use?

Yeah, I live in So Cal with JBA right around the corner but they want to charge $$$$ to do it.

I would like to lower the car about 1 inch to 1.5 inches for better cornering.

Thanks for the help!
